I Think of This Every Time I Think of Mountains

mountianbkThis intergenerational spoken word theater performance brings together Souphine Phathsoungenune, an 80 year old master of a popular Laotian and Thai singing tradition and Phayvanh Luekhamhan, an emerging 30-year-old Lao American poet who met in Brattleboro in 1981 after escaping as refugees from Laos. Twenty years late they weave their individual stories of living between Brattleboro and Laos into a collective story of the refugee experience straddling two homelands.
